Today a little over 4,5 years ago, I moved to the US and left everything I knew behind. It was an adventure, but definitely a lonely one. Thank god there was always Vie! In October 2014 we even had our love baby THE DOOR IN THE WALL.
We love what we created, we love what it meant to us, what it brought us. Staying connected with continents between us. And peeing our pants while doing so.
But in the meantime things changed. We live close again and can get on a train instead of the internet, we added babies, jobs, houses, friends. The only things that actually stayed the same are our friendship and daily chats through Whats app. And we will probably forever have those, but those conversations are not the ones we can share. Or want to share.
Vie sort of saved me, but I’m good on my own now. So she’s off saving other peoples sanity. And she’s extremely good at that. That door in the wall is still there, we are saving the key just in case!
But the truth is I needed the blog, the pressure, the deadline to document my own life. And looking back at these past almost two years in photos, I really want to keep doing this. It’s my diary, but in images. So if you are okay with it, I would like to keep doing my monthly photo blogs, but post them here, in my new little corner on the web.
January was rusty. But I will do my best to get back on that horse in February.
